Verify a LIKN asset

Everything LIKN seals — the images it generates and the finals brands deliver through it — is recorded with the licence it's cleared under: a clearance number, the consent behind it, and the exact bytes delivered. Good to know

  • The file is fingerprinted in your browser — the hash of its bytes and, for an image, a visual fingerprint of the picture. The file itself never leaves your device; only those fingerprints are looked up.
  • A copy re-encoded in transit — by a chat app, a CDN or an export — no longer matches byte for byte. For images we also compare the picture itself, and show a close match as a resemblance, never as a clean certificate. Crops, screenshots and edits won't match, and videos only match exactly.
  • A clearance number (LIKN-XXXX-XXXX) identifies a licence, not a file — every file sealed under it carries it, so anyone can copy it. To check a particular file, drop the file.
  • Assets made before the ledger launched can be verified by link, but their byte fingerprint may still be pending.
  • Produced AI content with licensed talent outside LIKN? We can verify the consent behind it and seal it too — get it certified.
